An Invitation to Join #ChangeTheNow
In 2018 Georgian College, Canada’s first Ashoka Changemaker College, wanted to know if they could mobilize students from kindergarten to Post Secondary into a movement, effectively building a region of Changemakers. It was from here that #ChangeTheNow began.
Do Good to Do Well
#ChangeTheNow was created on the beliefs that small acts can lead to big change and collaborations can turn into largescale movements. We believe together students’, educators’ and communities’ ideas can spark systems shifts that make will make our communities greener, healthier, safer, stronger and more inclusive!
Will you join us in creating the positive change and contribute to 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals?

Nigar Mammadova answered "After completing CTN, what new awareness do you have for yourself (ME) and your community (WE) and what is one action you might take to continue to explore it?" 2021-12-14 09:19:46 -0800I’ve explored my inner potential, my working abilities with a team and of course, expanded my limits about time-managment, being responsible and getting practical. When I see a person with different abilities on the way, I directly drop my pity away and shift my mindset automatically to how I can help and get improve deeper empathic altitude towards him/her. After three month of project, it’s great awareness which I gained to focus on finding solutions leaving complaints behind about people with different abilities.
Additionally, sharing our culture of countries and their mentality about our project provided me to see similarities and differences amongst them, and make more obvious what issues are globally and locally.
When it comes to take one action I might continue to explore, it probably will be my observation of the organization, which I am coordinator currently, to try to implement our main project idea to real life situations more and analyzing its results for moving forward. -

Alisson Nohelia Vélez Huaysara answered "How might the prototype & test stage help you with overcoming a fear of failure or challenging your assumptions about what is ‘right’?" 2021-12-13 12:08:36 -0800Prototype Stage helped us for having clear ideas about our project, we could test our project, do interviews with candidates, select the right questions for them and we could solve some issues/ failures in the process.
