🤔 Reflection question
After completing CTN, what new awareness do you have for yourself (ME) and your community (WE) and what is one action you might take to continue to explore it?
Bhavin's Answer
After completing the Change the Now (CTN) program with an emphasis on SDG 11, I have a greater understanding of how urban growth and sustainability are intricately intertwined, both for me and for our larger community. Personally, I've learned to appreciate the necessity of forming greener habits and the possibility for individual deeds to have an overall influence on our communities. In order to bring about long-lasting beneficial change in our urban surroundings, I have come to understand the need of promoting collaboration among diverse stakeholders, from local government to community organizations. I intend to keep learning about this understanding, participate in frequent talks and seminars that promote sustainable living, and attend neighborhood planning meetings to make sure that sustainable development is a top priority for the neighborhood.

🤔 Reflection question
What did you learn about publicly sharing your ideas that you will carry with you in your future of work?
Bhavin's Answer
I've learned that by encouraging viewpoints from diverse stakeholders, exchanging ideas encourages creativity and problem-solving. Furthermore, I've come to understand the importance of excellent communication in converting complicated ideas into understandable information that promotes wider involvement and participation. This experience emphasizes the need of continuous learning, adaptability, and the requirement for technology tools to be integrated in order to expand the impact of ideas and spur group action for significant change in the future of work connected to sustainable development.

🤔 Reflection question
How might the prototype & test stage help you with overcoming a fear of failure or challenging your assumptions about what is ‘right’?
Bhavin's Answer
Through hands-on experimentation and iterative testing, I discovered that failures are not setbacks but rather wonderful learning opportunities. This stage enables me to investigate various strategies and solutions and determine what works and what doesn't. Testing, failing, adjusting, and improving in a continuous loop encourages a mindset that views failure as a stepping stone to success.

🤔 Reflection question
How might ideation help you develop your active listening skills to brainstorm and reflect on ideas effectively with your team?
Bhavin's Answer
I've learned that ideation encourages a culture of open communication and mutual respect, where each team member's perspective is valued. Actively listening to diverse viewpoints during brainstorming sessions cultivates a deeper understanding of the urban sustainability challenges inherent to SDG 11.

🤔 Reflection question
How might you explain the value of you having a systems-thinking mindset when attempting to define and understand a complex problem?
Bhavin's Answer
When describing and comprehending complex issues like those connected to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11, adopting a systems-thinking attitude is essential. This method enables us to understand the complex relationships between numerous elements inside a city or community and to grasp the wider picture. We understand how changes in one area may have an impact on the entire system by recognizing that urban concerns are not unique to any one area. The Mobius Strip exercise taught me the importance of knowing these linkages because it enables us to foresee unintended repercussions, pinpoint leverage points for effective solutions, and think about the overall effects of our activities. The holistic character of SDG 11's objectives for building livable, resilient, and inclusive cities is aligned with this philosophy, which makes problem-solving more efficient and environmentally friendly.

🤔 Reflection question
After learning about how to empathize with the people affected by your SDG’s social issue, how you might apply empathy to working with the members on your CTN Innovation Team?
Bhavin's Answer
Working with the members of my CTN Innovation Team would require using empathy, which would entail carefully listening to their viewpoints, worries, and suggestions for sustainable urban development. We can collectively come up with more thorough and effective answers if we foster a culture where team members feel respected and heard. In the same way that I've learned to put myself in the position of those who are affected by urban challenges, I would work to understand my coworkers' perspectives, promoting open communication and fostering a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives contribute to creative solutions that genuinely address SDG 11's objectives.
