    πŸ€” Reflection question

What session inspired you the most during Changemaker in Residency Week, and why?

    Destiney's Answer

I did the Resume and Skill Building with Micro-Certificates and the part about this session that inspired me the most was learning the History behind micro-certificates, because I never knew about them, I was glad I was able to take part in being change maker and hope to keep the information I learned with me through my career.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

After completing CTN, what new awareness do you have for yourself (ME) and your community (WE) and what is one action you might take to continue to explore it?

    Destiney's Answer

I have become increasingly more aware of the difficulties our community faces everyday with transportation, and how it effects the community as a whole. I have also learned to look at the community from a different lens/perspective, and how hard it can be to do that. I will continue to use these skills in my future career and personal life to see if I can bring change.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

What did you learn about publicly sharing your ideas that you will carry with you in your future of work?

    Destiney's Answer

I learned how important it is to share your ideas with others, because maybe those people can make the change we want to see in the community. It is also important to gather everyone views and opinions on top of yours, because those could help you make the idea better.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

How might the prototype & test stage help you with overcoming a fear of failure or challenging your assumptions about what is β€˜right’?

    Destiney's Answer

In this stage it helps us understand the risks and the successes that can come out of this idea. Our team learned that even with the Prototype and Testing stage our idea will not be perfect even after testing it over and over.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

How might ideation help you develop your active listening skills to brainstorm and reflect on ideas effectively with your team?

    Destiney's Answer

throughout the ideation stage my team and I gathered to brainstorm multiple different ideas. it was a struggle for my team and I to come up with new ideas and how to fit those ideas into the ideate canvas. We listened to one another and let everyone speak their own ideas as we filled in the template which turned into a great way to improve the teams active listening skills.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

How might you explain the value of you having a systems-thinking mindset when attempting to define and understand a complex problem?

    Destiney's Answer

The value of this mindset helps us understand and solve the issue we have as well as many other issues that may come forth when working on our issue. It looks at different aspects of each particular problem and all of its connected issues.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

What did you personally learn about the process of creating your team canvass?

    Destiney's Answer

In the process of doing our team canvas I learned that a lot of our groups members share the same values and strengths. And that to make things flow everyone needs a chance to pitch their ideas and thoughts. It was a really fun exercise and me and my teammates had a blast doing it together.

After completing the Mobius Strip exercise, what do you feel are next steps towards contributing to the community you care about?

    Destiney's Answer

The Mobius strip helps outline how we can continue change in our community. I feel that the next steps would be to use our strengths to try and identify more serious problem areas within our community.
