    🤔 Reflection question

After completing CTN, what new awareness do you have for yourself (ME) and your community (WE) and what is one action you might take to continue to explore it?

    Jennifer's Answer

The needs are great and small but equally valid for our communtiy to continue to thrive and succeed. But there will always be space for improvement and change. I would like to continue to create things that help people in my community and greater. I enjoyed this program and its approach to problem solving. It was creative and informative.

    🤔 Reflection question

What did you learn about publicly sharing your ideas that you will carry with you in your future of work?

    Jennifer's Answer

There is so much involed in creating an effective pitch. From point of view of the presenter to the esthetics to how you present it (in person, recording, email etc). Story telling is a great way getting the attention of potential funders/supporters. We used 4 stories to apparoch a providing a comfort measure to people in wheel chair needing public transportation in the winter. This was my favorite part of the program. Bringing all the organized chaos to an attractive presentaion promoting a need for change.

    🤔 Reflection question

How might the prototype & test stage help you with overcoming a fear of failure or challenging your assumptions about what is ‘right’?

    Jennifer's Answer

We used REAL life experiences and resourced materials to make prototypes. This gave us opportunities to give constructive criticism within the group, further preparing us for outside critism when presenting later.

    🤔 Reflection question

How might ideation help you develop your active listening skills to brainstorm and reflect on ideas effectively with your team?

    Jennifer's Answer

This stage was the most active stage for all my group participants. Conversations were taking place, full inclusion, where everyone felt heard, and everyone contributed to an idea. We threw verious ideas around using the lab resources making our visions "come to life". The level of maturity and self control to hear everyone and feel heard was impressive.

    🤔 Reflection question

How might you explain the value of you having a systems-thinking mindset when attempting to define and understand a complex problem?

    Jennifer's Answer

I think it comes down to us taking the shutters off visually, and diving deeper into what root causes are related to the problem and not just what you see on the surface of it. It gave me an opportunity to see potential problems or "flaws" that can make the issue worse or only bandaid the problems we're trying to address.

    🤔 Reflection question

After learning about how to empathize with the people affected by your SDG’s social issue, how you might apply empathy to working with the members on your CTN Innovation Team?

    Jennifer's Answer

I can apply empathy to my group because sometimes there is a language barrier, and instead of looking out for myself, I will help them to understand better before we begin assignments/projects.

    🤔 Reflection question

What did you personally learn about the process of creating your team canvass?

    Jennifer's Answer

I have used other methods of sharing softwear but this one was very fun and interactive. I like that we can stay organized while being able to share our thoughts and ideas with our group.

    🤔 Reflection question

After completing the Mobius Strip exercise, what do you feel are next steps towards contributing to the community you care about?

    Jennifer's Answer

We need to keep that continuity in the care we can provide to our community. Our own strengths can flow into the community and create a chain which in turn can help us to work on our own attritubes.
