    🤔 Reflection question

What did you learn about publicly sharing your ideas that you will carry with you in your future of work?

    Naz's Answer

I learned about how important planning your storyboard can be and how may different parts go into making a strong and moving story that many people can understand and feel involved with. I will take with me the importance of creating a message that people can connect with widely and deeply. This will benefit me as a future changemaker because it will help me share my ideas publicly with confidence and without fear of failure.

    🤔 Reflection question

How might the prototype & test stage help you with overcoming a fear of failure or challenging your assumptions about what is ‘right’?

    Naz's Answer

The prototype and test stage help us to overcome fear of failure by acknowledging when an idea isn’t feasible and moving on to a new idea. By not being married to one idea we aren’t let down when it doesn’t carry through.

    🤔 Reflection question

How might ideation help you develop your active listening skills to brainstorm and reflect on ideas effectively with your team?

    Naz's Answer

I think that ideation helps with developing active listening skills by forcing us to acknowledge many different ideas and perspective that maybe we wouldn’t have before, or that maybe we only skimmed over before. It takes active listening skills towards your teammates and toward issues within the community to generate and organize many ideas and perspectives within a certain amount of time and then to also put those thoughts onto paper. The ideation stage clarified creative confidence which was a large part of completing our ideation stage. My team found that it was easy to bounce our ideas off of each other because we knew that there was no judgement and no wrong answers and that the more ideas we had the better. This builds an effectiveness within teams that will strengthen brainstorming and reflection.

    🤔 Reflection question

How might you explain the value of you having a systems-thinking mindset when attempting to define and understand a complex problem?

    Naz's Answer

The value of having a systems-thinking mindset when defining and understanding complex problems would be that it gives you the ability to see and account for many different cause and effect outcomes in order to avoid potential problems or negative outcomes. Having this mindset/process would prepare your team for many different situations when done correctly, not that all problems are avoidable. This mindset also shows you a complex problem from many different perspectives which can open up important information and ideas such as leverage points, which are extremely important if you want to implement change. Leave no stone unturned :)

    🤔 Reflection question

After learning about how to empathize with the people affected by your SDG’s social issue, how you might apply empathy to working with the members on your CTN Innovation Team?

    Naz's Answer

Learning about how to empathize with the people affected by the social issue of inclusive and accessible transportation was very beneficial to me because it reminded me that everyone in a community are connected and affect to and by one another. I will apply this while working in my team by deeply listening to members when they are talking and sharing ideas and understanding the meaning to what they are saying. This will cause us to be able to ask bigger questions and have deeper discussions which benefits everyone. I think I will also give my team a chance to hear me and what I have to say because I know how important it is to empathize with those around you. A better sense of community helps me to be a better empathizer.

    🤔 Reflection question

What did you personally learn about the process of creating your team canvass?

    Naz's Answer

I learned that our team canvas is a good way to keep track of our progress as a team and as a change maker.

    🤔 Reflection question

After completing the Mobius Strip exercise, what do you feel are next steps towards contributing to the community you care about?

    Naz's Answer

This exercise helped me better understand how I want to help make a change through volunteering my time to help support youth who struggle with addictions. Some questions I have after creating my mobiles strip would be how can I get involved with the community in order to make that change and do that volunteer work. Considering self and society as one was something i had never really thought about. It feels eye opening a little bit to think of us as connected as someone who never felt that before, and I think it’s a great feeling. It makes you want to get involved and work harder to make the changes you want to see. I think I will need to build confidence and self worth in myself to build my Changemaking capacity.
