Complete Your "HCDT Stage: Ideate" Reflection: 104
I think that ideation helps with developing active listening skills by forcing us to acknowledge many different ideas and perspective that maybe we wouldn’t have before, or that maybe we only skimmed over before. It takes active listening skills towards your teammates and toward issues within the community to generate and organize many ideas and perspectives within a certain amount of time and then to also put those thoughts onto paper. The ideation stage clarified creative confidence which was a large part of completing our ideation stage. My team found that it was easy to bounce our ideas off of each other because we knew that there was no judgement and no wrong answers and that the more ideas we had the better. This builds an effectiveness within teams that will strengthen brainstorming and reflection.
