    πŸ€” Reflection question

After completing CTN, what new awareness do you have for yourself (ME) and your community (WE) and what is one action you might take to continue to explore it?

    Priya's Answer

CTN has helped in enhancing my understanding of innovation and problem solving. There were many modules and templates that we did in order to explore the problem that we were working on, finding its root causes, how the desired future looks like, what can we do to achieve that future, how we can empathise with the stakeholders, how we can define, ideate and prototype our ideas to help solving the issue and making a change. All these modules taught me a new way to address and solve issues.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

What did you learn about publicly sharing your ideas that you will carry with you in your future of work?

    Priya's Answer

By sharing our ideas publicly, we open ourselves to different opinions, recommendations and suggestions about the idea. It can help in further improving the idea by including the components that might have been missed. The Pecha-Kucha pitch presentation helped us to learn to present our ideas in a more effective way through storytelling.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

How might the prototype & test stage help you with overcoming a fear of failure or challenging your assumptions about what is β€˜right’?

    Priya's Answer

Prototyping helps in testing the idea to see if the idea meets the required criteria for success. It helps in understanding what would work and what won't, and what are the things that we need to change in the idea to make it more practical. Prototyping helps in knowing the shortcomings in the idea and in eradicating those shortcomings.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

How might ideation help you develop your active listening skills to brainstorm and reflect on ideas effectively with your team?

    Priya's Answer

The Ideation stage included intense brainstorming, looking for different ideas and how might each idea could fit in the ideate canvas was something that our team struggled with. However, it helped us to think with a different perspective and in generating different ideas to solve the problem. As completing the ideate template, we listened to each others' ideas and discussed those with each other, and it was great to improve our team's active listening skills.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

How might you explain the value of you having a systems-thinking mindset when attempting to define and understand a complex problem?

    Priya's Answer

While defining and understanding a complex problem, the systems thinking mindset helps i understanding the different parts of the problem, to see the big picture and help to achieve the desired results. We worked on the iceberg model that helped us in getting a greater understanding of the problem and its root causes.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

After learning about how to empathize with the people affected by your SDG’s social issue, how you might apply empathy to working with the members on your CTN Innovation Team?

    Priya's Answer

The empathy map canvas helped our team to empathise with the stakeholders of the project. We defined different stakeholders for the project and prepared an empathy map canvas for each of them. This helped us in gaining a deeper understanding of the stakeholder's situation, wants needs, and expectations, and helped us in connecting with them. The empathy map canvas is a great tool to understand and empathise with the stakeholders to come up with an idea that addresses all their needs and expectations.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

What did you personally learn about the process of creating your team canvass?

    Priya's Answer

I learnt that there are different skills, abilities, strengths and weaknesses of each team member, and if we work together, we can compensate each other's weaknesses and can use our strengths to its full potential. A team working collaboratively can make a huge difference and produce greater results.

    πŸ€” Reflection question

After completing the Mobius Strip exercise, what do you feel are next steps towards contributing to the community you care about?

    Priya's Answer

I think that seeing the society as our own selves will prove to be the best approach to address the social issues and to bring about change. When we will start thinking about the society in the same manner that we think about ourselves, then it will be a lot more easier to understand the issues faced by the society, to empathise with the people, and to actually work to eliminate those problems. Everything is connected to one another.
